TSMC, UMC report January sales declines
Taiwanese foundry giants Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and United Microelectronics Corp. each reported this week that sales in January declined on both a year-to-year and sequential basis. TSMC said January sales were down 6.8 percent sequentially and 20.3 percent year-to-year, while UMC said sales declined 1.6 percent sequentially and 2 percent from January 2006. Details... more »
