Crosspoint switches support data rates up to 4.25-Gbits/s
TI has rolled out two analog chips that are capable of functioning as either crosspoint switches or buffers, giving designers the flexibility to use the devices in a wide variety of applications such as XAUI signal buffering/muxing, backplane redundancy and high-speed network routing in end equipment.
